Let’s Get Steady Falls Prevention

Let’s Get Steady is a free 2 ½ hour falls prevention session where you will receive lots of useful advice around falls prevention and the risks associated with falls. You will be guided through some practical ways to help prevent falls. There will be several professionals attending the session offering their expert advice and guidance on: 

• The home environment, useful equipment and some good practical advice on managing day to day activities.
• A Falls Specialist will offer advice on strength and balance and you will have the opportunity to participate in some exercises.
• A Community Matron will offer advice on nutrition, hydration and medication.

Other topics include – vision; hearing, looking after your feet and how to get up off the floor if you do have a fall.
